The AFL’s night of nights is here, the red carpet is set to be rolled out as the competition prepares to crown the 2024 Brownlow Medallist.
Geelong holds a strong history on Brownlow Medal night, including seven previous winners dating right back to 1924 when Edward ‘Carji’ Greeves won the inaugural Medal.

Dangerfield the Record Breaker?
Patrick Dangerfield has polled the second most Brownlow votes in AFL history (248 votes), sitting just 14 votes behind current record holder Gary Ablett Junior (262 votes).
The AFL’s Brownlow predictor estimates Dangerfield to poll nine votes in 2024, but if he can sneak up to 15 votes he can surpass Ablett Junior and take the number one spot.
Dangerfield also only needs two more three-vote games to pass Ablett Junior for the most three vote games in AFL history.
Can Hawkins and Tuohy Poll One Last Time?
Retiring champions Tom Hawkins and Zach Tuohy will have one last chance to feature on Brownlow night, with the pair both a chance to receive votes at different stages of the 2024 season.
Hawkins currently sits in 19th position on Geelong’s all-time Brownlow voting leaderboard, with two prime chances to add to his tally in round two (four goals) and round three (four goals).
Tuohy has polled in seven different games since joining Geelong in 2017, his best chances this year coming in round 8 against his old side (17 disposals, 3 goals).
