West Ham United winger Saïd Benrahma (28) has officially moved to Ligue 1 club Lyon, both clubs have confirmed. The Algeria international moved from London to Lyon as part of a six-month loan last winter worth €6m, despite West Ham United’s failure to send administrative documents in time. Les Gones have exercised the €14.4m option to make Saïd Benrahma’s move permanent. With the Hammers, Saïd Benrahma scored 24 goals in 155 games, including the opener he scored from the spot in the 2023 UEFA Conference League final West Ham United won against Fiorentina.
With Pierre Sage’s Lyon, Saïd Benrahma found the back of the net three times in 15 games. The Algeria international has put pen to paper over a three-year deal, with the option of a further year. West Ham United will receive 10 % of Saïd Benrahma’s transfer fee should he leave Lyon. Les Gones will play in the Europa League group stage next season.
