The Miami Heat’s roster is set for the 2024-25 season after the team made final cuts over the weekend.
The Heat waived guard Isaiah Stevens, center Warren Washington and guard Zyon Pullin from their Exhibit 10 contracts on Saturday. The Heat also released forward Nassir Little from his non-guaranteed contract.
None of this comes as a surprise.
The 14 Heat players who entered the preseason on guaranteed standard contracts and three on two-way contracts all made the cut.
Here’s a look at Miami’s final roster and projected depth chart:
PG: Terry Rozier / Alec Burks / Josh Richardson / Dru Smith*
SG: Tyler Herro / Duncan Robinson / Pelle Larsson / Josh Christopher*
SF: Jimmy Butler / Jaime Jaquez Jr.
PF: Nikola Jovic / Haywood Highsmith / Keshad Johnson*
C: Bam Adebayo / Kevin Love / Thomas Bryant / Kel’el Ware
* Denotes a two-way contract
Meanwhile, the Heat hope to add Stevens, Washington and Pullin to their G League program in Sioux Falls.
Pullin, an undrafted free agent out of Florida, had been on a two-way during Las Vegas Summer League but was waived to make room for Christopher, who was named the MVP of the summer league championship game.
The Heat can swap out players on two-way contracts at any time without impacting the salary cap.
Little becomes a free agent after the Heat’s front office creatively found a way to get him on the preseason roster. The former first-round pick failed to make a strong impression in 47 preseason minutes, missing 10 of his 14 shots and committing four turnovers.
