It’s no surprise that the Atlanta Braves continue to see revenue increases as fans steadily pack Truist Park on a nightly basis. Since it’s opening in 2017, the Battery has been basically printing money thanks to it’s year round traffic from fans.
If you're wondering why every American sports team wants to build a mixed-use development around its venue, "The Battery" earned the Atlanta Braves $59 million in revenue last year. It's now the team's 3rd largest revenue-generating category (+ growing 10% annually). Incredible. pic.twitter.com/4LgEiuhqOF

Combine that with the perennial winner the team runs out on the field, it’s no wonder the fans are supporting the team with their dollars. The latest reported revenue projection has the Braves amongst the most iconic franchises in the sport.
Braves expected revenue soar should mean Anthopoulos can spend big
According to a study done by sportsbet.one the Atlanta Braves are projected to bring in over $643 million in the year 2030. That mark projects them just behind the large market 2024 World Series teams, the Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Yankees.
The Braves were estimated around $473 million in revenue in 2024, ranking fifth in all of baseball. Atlanta’s projected 36.1% revenue increase is the third highest bump in dollars behind the Dodgers and Astros.
All these numbers should indicate what the team has been relaying to us these past few years…the front office will reinvest these funds into an adequate on-field product. Payroll has gone up several years in a row for Atlanta and the club is showing no signs of slowing down.
Despite some fans worries about the team cutting payroll to begin this offseason, Alex Anthopoulos informed the media that payroll would increase yet again next season. Of course he’s not going to come out and handicap the team with a finite number for expected payroll, but the team should be financially capable of engaging with just about every free agent not named Juan Soto.
The Braves have been relatively quiet this offseason, but with the hot stove finally starting to warm up expect Anthopoulos to get some Christmas shopping done in the near future.
