We’re less than two weeks until the NBA Draft on June 26-27. With that in mind, two players from this past year’s roster have been invited to the green room for the draft.
Reed Sheppard and Rob Dillingham have both been invited to the green room, according to ESPN’s Jonathan Givony. Sheppard got his earlier this week, while Dillingham earned his spot on Friday.
The delay in Dillingham’s invite came because he wasn’t eligible until he completed at least one pre-draft workout, which just happened with the Lakers.
Per Givony, Dillingham hasn’t been able to work out until now due to an ankle injury.
“An ankle injury prevented Dillingham from conducting athletic testing and shooting drills at the NBA Draft combine in Chicago in mid-May, and has thus far also prohibited him from attending private workouts with NBA teams,” Giovny wrote on Tuesday.
Thankfully, that issue is behind Dillingham now, as he will now likely join Sheppard in the green room. Both former Kentucky Wildcats will likely hear their names called within the first 10 selections.
