The Cincinnati Bengals announced on Monday they released wide receiver Trenton Irwin. Irwin, in his sixth season with the Bengals, played in seven games and had three catches for 15 yards on 10 targets in seven games this season.
Irwin has five career touchdowns in 41 games for the Bengals and caught 41 passes for 601 yards thus far in his career.
The Bengals also signed linebacker Shaka Heyward from the practice squad. Heyward is an undrafted free agent rookie and was previously activated for the Week 11 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers.
