In Glendale, Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray would connect with Marvin Harrison Jr. for a simple 12 yard touchdown pass. The score would seal a 47-24 win over NFC West rival, San Francisco.
The win closed the books on an 8-9 season with no postseason play. December would prove another bitter disappointment after going 2-5 down the stretch. Same Cardinals, different year.
In Philadelphia, the New York Giants would lose to the Eagles 20-13. The loss added to another dreadful season for Big Blue, posting a 3-14 record. Same Giants, different year.

Trading Kyler Murray Now Makes Sense
Murray will be 28yrs. old this coming season. He’s also one full season removed from a torn ACL against the New England Patriots. When he came back, he showed flashes.
He can still throw the ball, and he can still cut and run. But for a player drafted No. 1 overall, the expectation was he would be better. His career record is 36-45-1. He has one playoff appearance (a loss to Los Angeles), and a career full of excuses. If the Cardinals are going to move him, now is the time.
From The Desert To The Big Apple
The New York Giants have not had a quarterback of note since Eli Manning. Manning won two Super Bowls, was a playoff contender for the bulk of his career, and was not much of a runner. Still, he won games; in the playoffs and when it counted most with a Lombardi Trophy on the line.
The list of quarterbacks is not distinguished. Daniel Jones was the heir apparent to Manning. To add to the mix, Colt McCoy, Mike Glennon, Jake Fromm, David Webb, and local favorite Tommy DeVito have all spent time under center since 2019. Does starting AGAIN help New York? Therein lies the rub.
Kyler Murray in the Giants Blue
New York is a very logical landing spot for Murray. In Arizona, it’s become a a tired act with few who still believe that he is the guy everyone thought he was on draft night.
New York gets a player ready for a fresh start who has immediate name recognition. The new zip code could be a huge change to jumpstart a stagnant career, and erase the word “bust” often associated with any discussion had about him.
Meanwhile, Arizona gets a chance to revive an afterthought of a franchise. Murray for the No. 3,overall pick opens up a new idea, a fresh game plan, and a new face for the franchise.
It is something the Cardinals desperately need. It is something the Giants need. And how great would Cam Ward or Shedeur Sanders look in the desert? Arizona needs to pull the trigger on this trade, or live another season of regret fans have no stomach for.
