In this new era of college football, it feels like there’s not only a race to the national championship but also to the most interesting and original NIL deal. Count Notre Dame football running back Jadarian Price among the top contenders for that honor this year.
Price recently struck an NIL deal with famed jewelry designer Johnny Dang, who got Price a custom piece and a little training into the world for when he leaves the gridiron.

The Notre Dame football running back visited Dang’s famous store in Houston recently, according to TMZ of all places. There, he worked alongside the designer to create some one-of-a-kind jewelry.
Price made it clear during that visit that while he got a lovely custom piece for himself, it’s not about the swag: “It’s gonna go a long way. Just sharing contacts, meeting him and the people around him who helped him have his success.”
Price added the unique deal is another reminder of how name, image and likeness deals are changing the college sports landscape.

Price never thought he’d be able to connect with Dang, a high-profile person who has a ton of A-list clients like Justin Bieber, Nicki Minaj, and superstar athletes.
“It’s not just about the quick cash, flashy chains … but also the networking piece,” Price said.
Of course, Price is also getting something he can definitely call his own. The running back said his special collaboration with Dang will be worth some serious cash. It appears he’s getting a special piece of jewelry instead of a direct money payment.
In return, Dang gets one half of an impressive backfield that led the Notre Dame football team to the national championship game. Price shared carries with Jeremiyah Love, and Riley Leonard but still managed to get 746 yards and seven touchdowns.
