Man City Finally Agreed To Pay £45million Fee For 26-Year-Old Premier League Player
The experienced defensive midfielder Fernandinho’s long-term replacement has been named by the Premier League winners as Phillips.
According to rumours, Manchester City and Leeds United have reached an agreement on a cost of £45 million for England midfielder Kalvin Phillips.

They apparently have personal arrangements in place with the Brighton left-back Marc Cucurella, who they are also interested in signing.
Reporter David Ornstein for The Athletic claims that Manchester City and Leeds have finally reached an agreement on a price for Phillips.
City will pay £42 million upfront and maybe $3 million in incentives. Darko Gyabi, an 18-year-old midfielder, will make a separate £5 million transfer to Elland Road.
Although Phillips is presently on vacation and is expected to join Leeds for preseason on July 4, a trade might be finalized next week.

The money from Phillips will be used to reinvest in one or two new midfielders as Leeds has already acquired Marc Roca from Bayern Munich for almost £10 million.
Tyler Adams, who played for the New York Red Bulls under head coach Jesse Marsch, is said to be a target for them.
Phillips, who graduated from the Leeds academy, was essential to the Yorkshire club’s 2019–20 promotion campaign and again as they placed ninth in their first season back in the top flight.
Last term, the Whites came dangerously close to dropping. After sustaining a long-term injury, Phillips made a comeback for the club’s last eight games of the campaign, leading them to safety at Burnley’s cost.
Speaking earlier this month, former Leeds defender Danny Mills claimed that the England international will become “another squad player” at Manchester City if he completes a move to the Etihad.
Mills told talkSPORT:
“I think if he goes to Manchester City he becomes another squad player.
“He’ll probably play 20 games or so? He’s not Rodri’s standard yet, Rodri’s different class.
“I remember watching Rodri when he first came in to the football club and thinking ‘wow’.”
