Nuno Espirito Santo’s Nottingham Forest have been busy this summer with the club already pulling off the signing of goalkeeper Carlos Miguel and Newcastle United midfielder Elliot Anderson.
It is expected to be a busy summer at the City Ground, not just with incomings but outgoings too as HITC reported that multiple top Premier League clubs are interested in Brazilian defender Murillo, who had an outstanding debut season for the East Midlands club.
A new defender is understood to be a priority and sources have told HITC that they are locked in negotiations to sign Fiorentina’s Nikola Milenkovic.
Forest make move for’new Vidic’ Milenkovic
Forest are looking for central defensive reinforcements after the sale of Moussa Niakhate to Lyon earlier this summer.
Milenkovic has now emerged as a key target for Forest and they have made an offer worth €15million (£12.8million) for the 26-year-old – who was previously close to a move to England with West Ham United.
Milenkovic, 26, made three appearances at the 2024 European Championship’s as Serbia were knocked out of the competition in Germany at the Group Stage.

Having broken through as a teenager for Partizan Belgrade, making 32 appearances in defence for their title-winning 2016-17 season, the defender would move to Fiorentina.
Last season for the Italian club, Milenkovic made 34 appearances in Serie A as well as a further nine appearances in the Conference League.
Forest also interested in another Fiorentina
The East Midlands club are not just interested in Milenkovic from Fiorentina but also Argentine winger Nicolas Gonzalez.
Leicester City, who have earned promotion back to the Premier League after a season out, were understood to have made an offer for Gonzalez.
He made 25 Serie A appearances for the Italian side, scoring two goals and providing one assist.
Argentine manager Lionel Scaloni was full of praise for the winger as he believed Gonzalez
