Brisbane has skyrocketed into the top four, after a stellar two-point win over ladder-leaders Sydney at the Gabba on Sunday.
It’s the Lions’ seventh win on the trot, as they jump to second on the ladder.
It’s a far cry from their 0-3 start, as finals look all but certain fro last year’s grand finalists.
Brisbane got off to a blistering start, booting five goals to the Swans’ one in the opening term.
But it didn’t take long for Sydney to show why they’re still sitting pretty atop the table, two-and-a-half games clear of the Lions in second.
Callum Ah Chee, who kicked the winning goal with just two minutes left to play, was ecstatic post match.
“It’s one of the best wins we’ve had,” he told Fox Footy.
“Bloody awesome win.”
The Swans were overrun in the final term, kicking just two goals, as the Lions kicked four to surge to victory.
While the Lions celebrated, the Swans will be headed back to the drawing board, after dropping three of their last four matches.
Sydney will also nervously await scans for Dane Rampe, who injured his calf, while star forward Tom Papley went down with an ankle injury.
The Swans are still 10 points clear atop of the ladder, despite the loss.
