Rangers are reportedly no further forward in their search for a new chief executive to replaceĀ James Bisgrove.
The former CEO departed the club earlier this summer as was confirmed by the Glasgow giants towards the end of May. The Englishman left for a position in the Middle East with Al-Qadsia and that leftĀ GersĀ with a slot to fill to find a key member of their boardroom and behind the scenes work.
ManagerĀ Philippe ClementĀ and recruitment chiefĀ Nils KoppenĀ will likely need a new face to report to within the halls at Ibrox but according to theĀ Rangers Review’s Chris Jack, they are “not close” to putting a new man in place.
Gers are in the midst of a major squad overhaul ahead of the coming campaign with top players leaving and others arriving as new signings to join the manager’s efforts.
An interim executive board was put together, also involving chairmanĀ John Bennett,Ā to execute their summer transfer strategy where the likes ofĀ Jefte, Hamza Igamane and Liam Kelly among others have already been brought in.
