The Terrors secured a memorable victory in a five-goal thriller with Meshack Ubochioma netting what proved to be the winner in the ninth minute of stoppage time.
The substitute’s goal sparked a good-natured pitch invasion, with the manager also trying to celebrate with Ubochima – without success.
A rueful Goodwin asked: “Has anyone got any washing powder? I can guess what the meme is going to be tomorrow!
“I don’t help myself. I got caught up in the moment.
“Scoring a winner as late on as that with the last kick of the ball, the excitement is there for all to see.
“I went running on to celebrate with Meshack. He saw me coming and started running away from me.
“I ended up on my a***. It’s a good one for people online and on social media, no doubt.
“It was just a fantastic effort at the end and great scenes.
“We don’t want to encourage our supporters to come on the park.
“We understand there’s a level of emotion involved in it. You don’t get too many moments like that as a professional player.
The players got caught up in that along with the supporters.
“It just shows you how important the victory was.
“I’ve spoken about the great team spirit here. They don’t know when they’re beaten. We keep going right to the end.”
Goodwin added: “We have a sign up on the back of the door about never giving up and never throwing the towel in. The players deserve all the credit.
“Meshack produced a moment of real quality on his weaker right foot with the last kick of the ball.
“It’s just as well it went in as I had other things I wanted to say to him at the end of the game.
“I thought he was Hibs’ best player for about 10 minutes. But he came good at the end.”
Goodwin revealed that Craig Sibbald has undergone an operation on a groin injury.
Meanwhile, devastated Hibs boss David Gray admitted he was angry over his side’s capitulation, with the capital club now propping up the William Hill Premiership table.
He said: “I could sit here and make numerous excuses for the game today, but that’s all they would be. I think it’s extremely, it’s angry, it makes me angry, it’s frustrating, it’s all of the above, everybody knows.
“If it’s not for the red card I firmly believe you’re going to win the game, again that’s an excuse because after that we still need to be better, there’s not long left in the game, in these big moments, poor decision-making or a lack of desire at times to make.”
