The Ohio State football team has been on a hot streak when it comes to the recruiting trail. They have been able to land some defensive recruits that they have had their eyes on in the last week. Last week, they were landing some offensive linemen, too.
Ahead of the spring Game, the Buckeyes have been able to land these prospects. They expect to land a few more right after some recruits visit for the Spring Game. The Ohio State Buckeyes have now landed their third recruit in the last four days to keep the momentum going.
The Ohio State football team gets a commitment from another in-state recruit
Ohio State has gained a commitment from CJ Sanna, a three-star linebacker from the state of Ohio. The in-state product is from Olentangy High School in Lewis Center. He stands at 6’3 and 225 pounds and is someone that the Buckeyes believe can be a good player once he gets some coaching.
Sanna had offers from some other good schools, too. He chose the Buckeyes over Wisconsin, Miami, and Indiana. While he’s not the most skilled recruit that Ohio State has in the 2026 recruiting class, they think that he could be a diamond in the rough. He just needs to be developed.
Ohio State now has ten commitments in the 2026 class right now. They have moved up to having the third-best recruiting class in the country. The Buckeyes are also still in the hunt for some other blue-chip recruits who are some of the best recruits in the entire country.
December is when these recruits will officially sign on the dotted line, and that’s a long time from now. Holding onto these kids for that long is hard in today’s world of NIL. Hopefully, the Buckeyes will be able to hold onto most of the guys they have in this class.
