Richmond will host Gold Coast at the MCG in the final round of the home-and-away season on Saturday, August 24.
The AFL released the Round 24 fixture on Wednesday morning, with the Tigers taking on the Suns from 2.10pm EST.
Speaking to the media on Tuesday afternoon following the announcement of Dustin Martin’s retirement, Richmond CEO Brendon Gale said the game would be an opportunity to farewell the legendary Tiger.
“He’ll be turning up at our Round 24 game against Gold Coast at the MCG. There will be another opportunity for him to acknowledge the club and the fans, and importantly they can acknowledge him,” Gale said.
“The 300th game against Hawthorn … it was an incredible occasion, he spoke so sincerely and authentically and it will be hard to match that, but Round 24 will be another important occasion.”
Richmond will also pay tribute to its loyal Tiger Army in Round 24 by dedicating the match to its members, which will also be a Kids Go Free game.
The final-round match will be broadcast live on Fox Footy and Kayo Sports.
