TS Galaxy head coach, Adnan Beganovic, has heaped praise on his team following their stunning 1-0 victory over defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns in a Betway Premiership clash at Mbombela Stadium on Monday.
The 41-year-old Beganovic took the reins from former coach, Sead Ramovic, who resigned amid a poor run of results that left the club flirting with relegation at the start of the season.
Since taking the helm, Beganovic has engineered a remarkable turnaround at the club, transforming Galaxy into a formidable force in the league.
Midfielder Kamogelo Sebelebele struck the decisive blow in the 44th minute, scoring against the Tshwane giants to secure all three points for his side and extend their unbeaten run in the league to 13 matches.
The win also saw the Rockets rise to fourth place in the log table with 25 points from 17 matches.
Following the match Beganovic could not hide his and praised his players for their impressive performance, adding that beating the Brazilians was an unbelievable feeling.
“The feeling is beautiful, winning against Sundowns, you can’t say every day you’ve won against Sundowns, It’s a beautiful club with so many good players,” Beganovic in the post-match interview with SuperSport.
“But I’m so proud of my team, how we played tactically in this game and how we played games in February, how we look physically. I’m so proud of this group, all credit to the players. We need to enjoy it because what we did in the last three months is unbelievable. I’m so, so happy, “Beganovic said.
