After his introductory press conference with the Minnesota Timberwolves, Rob Dillingham caught his first Minnesota Twins game in his new hometown, Minneapolis. The eighth overall pick in the NBA Draft, Dillingham walked from the Wolves’ Target Center across the street to the Twins’ Target Field, where he and fellow rookie Terrence Shannon Jr. received the VIP treatment, including the honor of throwing out the first pitch.
Though a little low, Dillingham hit his mark down the middle, dodging any bloopers or #NotTop10 attention. His pitch looked even better against Shannon’s one-hopper in the dirt.

Dillingham surprised by Minnesota pick
At the Timberwolves’ press conference before a night in the park, Dillingham admitted he was surprised to begin his professional basketball career in Minnesota.
“It was just a crazy experience for real,” Dillingham explained. “The Timberwolves are one of the best teams in the NBA, so I wouldn’t think I’d go to a contender right off rip. So, me seeing that I’m going to the Timberwolves, it was just a blessing for real.”
Minnesota traded up to get the former Kentucky star.
