The Memphis Grizzlies will be moving the beginning of their preseason training camp to Nashville this year.
Memphis will spend Oct. 1-3 practicing in Nashville at The Ensworth School while FedExForum undergoes renovations. Upgrades to FedExForum’s rigging grid and sound system restrict the amount of usable spaces in the Grizzlies home arena.
This isn’t the first time the Grizzlies will spend some of their preseason camp in Nashville. The team also did so before the 2013 season.
Memphis will not spend its entire camp in Nashville, however. The Grizzlies have a home preseason game at FedExForum on Oct. 10 against the Charlotte Hornets at 7 p.m.
The team’s annual open practice for fans is also still expected to be held at FedExForum.
